Patented SMAR Eddy Current Separator - Demetallization System

SMAR® refers to a family of patented separators for non-magnetic metals (non-ferrous) with enhanced protections. The patent involves introducing a third roller into the eddy current separator to adjust the wrapping angle of the belt around the polar wheel. This design offers numerous advantages: - Short residence time of ferrous materials in the induction zone to eliminate the risk of belt burning, - Significant reduction of radial forces on the polar wheel, allowing the use of thick belts and thin composite covers. The longevity of the bearings is also increased, - Ideal operation of the belt scraper, positioned downstream of the third roller.
