Château Lalande-Borie

Château Lalande-Borie

Commentary Château Lalande-Borie was created from scratch in 1970 by Jean-Eugène Borie on a 30-hectare plot. Today, this estate, which quickly gained a fine reputation, is managed by his son Bruno Borie, who is also in charge of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou. The vineyard spans 25 hectares located on the western plateau of the Saint-Julien appellation, where many second and third growths from the 1855 classification can be found. The grape variety is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, which accounts for 65% of the area, followed by 25% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. In the vineyards, yields are controlled, and practices align with sustainable viticulture. The harvest is done by hand, leading to moderately extractive vinifications and aging in barrels where new wood does not dominate. Grape Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (33%), Cabernet Franc (7%) Producer: Borie Family in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle (33250) Formats and Packaging: Bottle (75cl) - Wooden case of 12 - 2013
