PRECISE Spindles

The current series TSA, TSI, TSP, TSAV,of the external-driven GMN tool spindles follow the first grinding spindles made by GMN in the 1930s. Then and today, we provide simple, but robust and functional spindles that reliably fulfill their tasks. Depending upon the customer’s tool selection, spindles are available with various tool holders.

These precision slideways with roller bearings are used in machine and fixture construction, metrology, optical instruments and precision mechanics. The scale division on the micrometer dial is 0.02 mm. The stated permissible load values (F) are designed for a service life of 1 million travel cycles. The torque values apply only to centred slides. An additional centring hole is located at holes D2 and D3 on the top of the slide. Other connecting elements can be precisely mounted on the slide in combination with our centring rings 20240. F = permissible loading for dynamic and static loads. TI E/E1 = number of fastening holes E/E1/M inside. TA E/E1 = number of fastening holes E/E1/M outside. TI E4 = number of fastening holes E4/D1 inside. TA E2 = number of fastening holes E2/D1 outside.

The spindle extension SamSpindle, has been specially designed for the extension of lathe spindles. Together with the bar feeder Multi 3000 it forms a safe, clean and efficient solution. The SamSpindle operates oil and air free. There is no mechanical connection to the lathe. Only a minimum of moving parts and masses. These are: the rotating bar, the guide rings and the inner cage of the ball bearings. The guide rings mounted in the roller bearings keep the bars in the centre of the SamSpindle cartridge. Thanks to this technique, round or test bars can be rotated at high speed, ensuring remarkably smooth running. You can turn drawn, round or profile bars, with correct straightness, at the maximum spindle speed of the lathe. This allows us to guarantee workpieces with high precision. The SamSpindle spindle extension offers maximum safety. It does not allow access to parts in motion. The moving parts are all enclosed in the SamSpindle cartridge, which is closed by a safety nut.

The profiled guide slide PFS is available in 5 series with sizes from 100 mm up to 425 mm width and strokes up to 2000 mm. To protect them against dirt accumulations, the slides are covered with bellow covers. Other covers on request. The slides are available in aluminium (nature anodized), or casted iron GGK-25. Optional steel C-45. The ball thread spindle drives are available in the qualities T5 and T7 with spindle pitches from 5 to 50 mm.
