The system automatically detects the position of steering valves in load carriers and installs them with force monitoring in rack and pinion steering systems. Additionally, the rack is lubricated and the support bearing is supplied within the system. An industrial robot is used for handling, equipped with an imaging system and a force torque sensor. The entire application is fully integrated into an existing assembly line and operates in a three-shift system. The result: consistently high quality at a 23-second cycle time and a reduction of the scrap rate to a minimum.
