ETx25K kit encoders are used for reliable angle measurement from a shaft which is installed in the application: as single turn variant (360°) with analogue, PWM, incremental, SER or SPI output, or as a multiturn variant (up to 72000°) with analogue output. ETx25K can be used up to medium environmental requirements (IP67). Singleturn electronics: ETA25K absolute analogue encoder (ETA25K X redundant version): Provides an absolute analogue signal with 12 bits resolution. The optical incremental encoders SPM (increased torque) and SPNTM (reduced torque) are ideal for applications that require high durability and adaptability of the sensor. The optical incremental encoders of the series SPM (increased torque, in IP55 on shaft side) and SPNTM (reduced torque, in IP40 on the shaft side) are characterized by their reliability and long lifespan of more than 100 million shaft movements. The sensor with Ø6 mm or Ø6,35 mm (1/4 ") shaft is fixed by means of central thread. Depending on the version, a resolution of 50…1024 pulses per revolution (360°) is available as TTL or Line Driver output signal. Upon request, further resolutions such as e.g. 1250/2000/2048/2500/4000/4096 and 5000 ppr are realized.

Thanks to the True-Power-On function, any angle changes are registered even during a supply voltage interruption and the angle is reproduced exactly as an analogue signal as soon as the supply voltage is restored. The contactless sensor technology works on the basis of modern gradient-based magnetic field evaluation in processor-supported circuit design. This makes the multiturn encoder largely immune to external magnetic fields or changing ambient temperatures. In combination with the precision mechanics, the encoder shows its additional strength compared to magnetoresistive methods. The latter can have weaknesses in voltage-free measured value acquisition. Another special feature of the multi-turn sensor are the signal plateaus at the beginning and end of the range, which prevent sudden signal changes. The electrically effective rotation range of the encoder is 3600°, ex works.
