Laminated Glass

They are produced by assembling two or more glass plates through a special fixing agent polyvinyl butyral (PVB) layers under heat and pressure. This operation minimizes the risks arising from broken glasses by holding the pieces together if the glass is broken. Glass is a fragile material and standard float glass has low tolerance to impacts. By increasing thickness of the glass, tolerance for the impact will augment but will not eliminate risks caused by glass breakage. Laminated Glass is a safety and security glass. Şişecam Laminated Glass is the trademark of laminated glass of Şişecam Flat Glass. Şişecam Ultra Clear Laminated Glass is the trademark of low iron laminated glass produced with low iron flat glass. The transparency of Şişecam Ultra Clear Laminated Glass is significantly higher, minimizing distortion of the original colors of the objects behind it.

Acoustic Laminated Glass (ALC) is a type of laminate material and is often used to reduce noise. ALC is produced by placing one or more PVB (polyvinyl butyral) layers between two or more glass sheets. These layers ensure that the glass sheets adhere tightly to each other and also increase the acoustic properties of the material. Acoustic Laminated Glass is a structural material used to reduce noise pollution. It is frequently used in exterior facades of buildings, window panes, doors and partition walls. Thanks to the acoustic properties of ALC, it reduces the sound level in the environment by blocking noise, thus creating a quieter environment.
