LES FERMIERS D'ARGOAT

Les Fermiers d'Argoat was established in 1975 by a collective of about twenty stakeholders, driven by their belief in the potential of the "volailles fermières label rouge" sector. Over the years, this initiative has expanded to include three other sectors: "œufs fermiers label rouge" in 1983, "porcs fermiers label rouge" in 1988, "porcs label rouge" in 2006, and "lapins fermiers label rouge" in 2013. These various sectors, along with the processing of charcuterie products, are based on strict breeding standards focused on animal welfare and specific expertise, with the aim of providing quality and tasty products to consumers. Today, Les Fermiers d'Argoat has 320 members, including 260 breeders and 60 companies (feed manufacturers, slaughterhouses, technical organizations, hatcheries, processing and charcuterie companies, egg packaging centers) that collaborate to achieve this quality objective. They also oversee 24 specifications for Fermiers d'Argoat that carry the label rouge. Furthermore, they are proud to promote the strengths of Brittany in the poultry sector, thanks to their Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) "Volailles de Bretagne". Since 2006, Les Fermiers d'Argoat has been officially recognized by the INAO as a defense and management organization (ODG) for their efforts in creating and managing sectors under official quality signs (label rouge and PGI).
