The company's business areas are divided as follows: metal technology, wood technology, plastic technology, fixture construction/machine engineering, welding assemblies, and surface technology. Specifically, Lattner has been covering the demand for customer-oriented solutions in the areas of load carriers and transport aids, handling devices, and work aids as well as machine engineering with its metal division since 2003. In simultaneous engineering, for example, load carriers can be designed according to the latest component status. Simulation tests based on 3D allow for the production of suitable individual pieces before they go into series production. The use of CNC technology ensures that manufacturing is as precise as the prior planning of the custom solutions. Lattner has its own welding robots that ensure particularly high process reliability. The welding processes MIG, MAG, and TIG are applied here. Surface treatment is also carried out quickly and flexibly through the in-house sandblasting and painting facility, including drying. In the field of wood technology, the company has specialized mainly in the production of transport packaging. The manufacture of special pallets, boxes, and crates to protect transport goods is done according to customer specifications. To ensure smooth transport by land, water, and air, static calculations precede production. The focus of plastic manufacturing is specifically on the production of individual solutions, such as plastic pallets. However, various milled parts and injection-molded parts are also created at Lattner, or the adaptation of standard products is undertaken. Here too, thanks to the latest CAD technology, the planning and conception phase is already precise.
