Series Production in High Precision: The name KERN Microtechnik has stood for µ-precise manufacturing of precision parts with the best surface quality for over half a century. Our special focus is on the series production of highly accurate parts, which can also be manufactured automatically through stable processes. High-precision and micro parts are produced µ-precisely in a climate-controlled environment using the following technologies: CNC milling, hard milling, micro milling, micro drilling, wire EDM, sinker EDM, micro EDM, surface grinding, coordinate grinding, and laser marking. Our CAM programmers utilize your 3D data to generate NC programs for HSC milling from 3-axis to 5-axis simultaneous machining. Quality is monitored and documented using our 3D coordinate measuring machines. The wide range of technologies available in-house allows you to source parts that need to be milled, eroded, and ground—all from a single source, up to assembly manufacturing. We also offer diverse processing of various materials such as: tool steels, stainless steels, copper, brass, bronze, nickel silver, tungsten copper, aluminum and aluminum alloys, titanium and titanium alloys, hard metals and heavy metals like molybdenum and tungsten, nickel-based alloys like Inconel, Hastelloy, and Nitinol, special alloys like Kovar, Invar, and Ferro-titanite, plastics, especially Vespel, machinable ceramics like Macor and Boron nitride, and possibly precious metals like gold, platinum, and silver. Through hydrostatic milling, we achieve the best surface qualities of Ra0.05.
