it4ip exploits a unique and patented technology called "track etched" for the production of membranes with exceptional properties. These membranes consist of a thin, porous film that filters gases and liquids, and the expertise lies particularly in controlling the size and number of perforations created in them. This so-called "track-etching" technology allows for precise perforations ranging from 10 nanometers to several tens of micrometers; the technology applies to various polymers (polycarbonate, polyester, and polyimide) that can withstand extreme conditions of temperature and mechanical, physical, and chemical stresses. Produced in a very wide range of porosity, the membranes are supplied in the form of rolls or pre-cut disks ready for use. The production site in a controlled environment complies with ISO 9001 standards and ensures the cleanliness required for biomedical applications as well as excellent reproducibility of the membrane.
