The vermiculite plant in Bözen, Switzerland, had previously gone bankrupt and was purchased and repositioned by the medium-sized entrepreneur Johannes Wilhelm Zimmermann after approximately 2 years of company closure. The 50 years of experience with Vermiculite (www.vermiculite.de) and its diverse products is traditionally supported by the family business, now in its fourth generation, through Mr. Hans-Georg Zimmermann as the sales manager for Germany and Switzerland. They create the foundation for competitiveness and growth, ultimately leading to a satisfied customer. What is Vermiculite In nature, the material is found in deposits of mica schist. The occurrences have been reshaped in prehistoric times by hot water in connection with volcanic eruptions, resulting in the accumulation of water molecules between the schist structure. The raw material extracted from open-pit mining is washed with water before loading, cleaned, and screened in special screening lines.
