Slotted tension sleeves are versatile components used in numerous applications. Occasionally referred to as roll pins, split pins, C-pins, tension pins, or simply spring pins, slotted tension sleeves are hollow bodies without a head, featuring a longitudinal slot running the entire length with beveled or rounded ends to simplify installation. Slotted tension sleeves are manufactured with a controlled outer diameter that is slightly larger than the holes into which they are installed. The primary spring action of slotted tension sleeves focuses on the area opposite the slot, as the two halves of the pin are compressed during installation. Once the pin is installed, it exerts continuous pressure on the sides of the hole wall.
