They are logarithmically relieved. Up to 4 profiles can be ground. With the multi-profile end mills, no tool change is required anymore (only one tool station occupied), as the complete outer contour is machined with just one tool. The machining is burr-free, as the profiles are laid out overlapping. Additionally, bar material can be completely profiled (no expensive stamping tool needed anymore).
