Our foundry has a long tradition, dating back to the machine factory Schütz & Hertel, founded in 1879, also known as Mafa Wurzen. This was followed 74 years later by the company VEB Maschinenfabrik und Eisengießerei Wurzen, which transitioned into the ownership of Esterer AG in 1991 and has since operated as "Esterer Gießerei Werk Wurzen GmbH". Together with the sister company in Altötting, "Esterer Gießerei GmbH", the Wurzen foundry was acquired by the holding company Topol GmbH in 2008. Along with the Esterer Gießerei Altötting, our company is now one of the leading system suppliers in Europe. Our core competencies lie in the production of geometrically complex and core-intensive products. However, double-walled cast parts, those with thin wall thicknesses, and large components weighing up to four tons are also among our strengths. We guarantee our customers the highest possible process reliability, even with demanding components.
