About Galltec+Mela In 1998, Galltec Mess- und Regeltechnik GmbH (founded in 1972) became the majority shareholder of Mela Sensortechnik GmbH (founded in 1991). Since then, the two companies have been operating together in the market as Galltec+Mela. From Galltec Mess- und Regeltechnik comes the durable, very robust, and washable Polyga® air humidity measuring element, which operates based on the hygrometric principle. The sensors equipped with this measuring element are characterized by particularly long lifetimes (up to >10 years). The hygrostats with Polyga® measuring element are used worldwide over 100,000 times. Mela Sensortechnik is home to the capacitive Mela® sensor element. It is the heart of the sensors in the extensive range of capacitive humidity sensors for HVAC, meteorology, production, and process industries. More than 35 years of experience back the comprehensive product range of Galltec+Mela for all important applications in humidity measurement technology.
