FASSBINDEREI EILETZ 200 years of quality craftsmanship from the master company. The Fassbinderei Eiletz was founded in 1819 by Eiletz Simon I. Since 1901, the company has been located on Seckauerstrasse in Knittelfeld. In 1970, a retail store was opened, and the sale of various wooden and wicker products began. The barrel-making business has been continuously expanded by generations through acquisitions and modernized with specialized machinery. Today, the 6th generation is already at work in the Fassbinderei Eiletz. The woods we use are very finely grown and are air-dried for several years before processing. For the production of barrels, primarily oak wood is used. This comes from both Austria and various other countries around the world. For tubs and numerous other containers, mainly domestic larch wood is used. Furthermore, for the production of various wooden goods, gift and utility items, wood species such as maple, lime, beech, ash, spruce, elm, and many more are utilized.
