Small series parts through vacuum casting - urethane casting for your prototypes and small series parts

Urethane casting is a fast and cost-effective method for producing small series from a silicone mold. A silicone mold is created using a prototype that serves as the basis for the duplication process of the original piece. Thanks to the flexibility of silicone, complex interlocking geometries can be realized without demolding issues. The starting material for the reproductions is a liquid polyurethane resin, which can simulate the properties of various plastics with the help of additives. Depending on material requirements and surface finish, between 15 and 30 parts can be produced. This method is ideal for the production of small series and prototypes where the creation of expensive injection molding tools is not practical.
