Their story began in 2014 in the Philippines, where Robin was working for a micro-financing company and was shocked by the state of the beaches he visited. He started organizing coastal cleanup campaigns and realized that many plastic toothbrushes were thrown away each year. After discovering that most plastic waste was not recycled, he decided to seek a sustainable alternative. Bamboo emerged as an ideal option—strong, biodegradable, and renewable. Shortly after, Oceansrespect was created, offering eco-designed products as alternatives to plastic and biodegradable options for a lifestyle balanced between environmental respect and consumer choices. Oceansrespect's mission is to reduce the amount of plastic waste by providing more eco-friendly solutions.
