Marquis des Ormes

{"Comment":"The elm was once abundantly planted in the Médoc region to serve as timber for frameworks, mill wheels, and pulleys. A craftsman from the area cultivated it and proposed this species to maintain the cellars of the local vintages. Over the years, various Médoc owners nicknamed it the Marquis of Elms because on each framework, he engraved an elm leaf as a signature. This wine comes from selected plots within the Saint-Estèphe appellation, located near the estuary. This location protects them from harsh winters and sometimes scorching summers. The average age of the vines is 25 years.\n\nTasting\nBeautiful, bright, and deep garnet color. After swirling, the nose reveals notes of red fruits with spicy hints. On the palate, the attack is dense and indulgent. The structure is balanced with a lovely persistent length on the fruit.\n\nGrapes: Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (40%)\nProducer: Sovex GrandsChâteaux in Beychac-et-Caillau (33750)\nFormats and packaging: Bottle (75cl) - Box of 6 - 2019"}
