Since 2001, CORNILLÉ, an expert in the processing of bovine by-products, collects 120,000 tons of raw materials each year in the Grand Ouest from its partners, the slaughterhouses and cutting workshops of the AGROMOUSQUETAIRES (SVA Jean Rozé) and BIGARD groups. These by-products are transformed into fats, dehydrated proteins, and bone meal. CORNILLÉ has chosen to respect the hierarchy of uses by prioritizing the most relevant and highest societal value-added uses for its processes, such as Human Food, Livestock Feed, Pet Food, Oleochemistry, Biofuels, and Fertilizers. CORNILLÉ is committed to working with its partners to reduce its carbon footprint and to contribute to a circular economy based on the use of renewable and sustainable resources: • use of renewable resources collected in France + 100% recovery in bio-based products. • production of bio-based proteins and fats with a lower carbon footprint than that of imported proteins and vegetable oils (soy, palm oil). • optimization of our energy and water consumption + permanent reduction of environmental impact. E.g.: decarbonized steam from the energy recovery of our waste. • For 70% of our thermal needs, as a substitute for fossil fuels, use of decarbonized steam produced by the SAVE.
