ABOUT CALOMEL CRYSTALS Calomel is a crystal material transparent from VIS (0.4µm) up to MWIR (17µm) with a very strong birefringence (Δn=0.55). These parameters make it a great candidate for mid-IR optics, polarization optics, and acousto-optical components. POLARIZATION and PHASE DELAY OPTICS Birefringent crystal optics for the mid-IR spectral range (0.4-17µm): polarizers, windows, prisms, adjustable phase delay components, and custom products based on Calomel crystals. Polarizers modify light, making it possible to achieve better contrast, brightness, more details, and generally a new kind of information. ACOUSTO OPTICS Calomel substrates for AO applications (AOTF, AOM, AOD). High figure of AO merit M2 and transparency in mid-IR and LWIR. CUSTOM PRODUCTS Windows, prisms, wedges, cubes, and other custom components produced according to customer requirements and application needs.
