This captures a fixed sample amount in the rod's sampling notch for extraction. Depending on the version, the sampler collects precise sample volumes of 0.01 ml, 0.05 ml, and 0.1 ml. With a penetration depth of up to 300 mm, multiple target point samples can be taken at different depths.
