Infrared Heating Systems for Molds

Infrared can also be used to heat steel molds. This operation can be performed between two castings or during the casting process itself to provide the necessary energy to maintain the mold at its operating temperature. In this case, CSI favors the use of gas infrared, particularly the metallic fiber technology, which allows for the creation of bi-face or cylindrical burners for high power density and rapid power variation. Some systems are equipped with optical pyrometry, which enables precise and repeatable regulation of the process.
